One real Type B example requires two completed submissions
Beihang’s 2026 notice required the university application and CSC application, using Type B and its agency number 10006. It required matching information in both systems and treated inconsistency as an incomplete or invalid application. This is a closed intake used to explain workflow.
The useful conclusion is not to copy that number elsewhere. It is to identify the actual university’s prescribed steps and obtain evidence for each. A submitted-status screenshot from CSC says nothing by itself about whether the university’s own file is complete.
The supporting letters and fee can hold up the university file
The cited example required its acceptance-letter format, a plan exceeding 1000 characters or words signed by the supervisor, and academic recommendations. Document review began only after the accepted application-fee evidence or system payment. Those are separate completion checks.
In a submission map, record who issues each document and where it is uploaded. The university’s payment receipt is not a substitute for the CSC form; a CSC form is not a substitute for the supervisor signature. This is why counting successful button clicks is a poor way to establish completion.
Put this guide into practice
Create a short record for your intended programme. Add the relevant notice or document beside each item; leave unpublished details marked “to confirm”.
- Applicable degree, visiting-study or language route
- Category and agency number supplied by the recipient
- Separate university and scholarship submission references
After submission, preserve the final version and the next decision
Keep each application reference, completed form and final document set. If a recipient permits withdrawal for correction, complete the required resubmission before its deadline. Updating a document in one portal does not necessarily update the other.
Beihang describes university review and recommendation followed by CSC assessment. Pre-admission, nomination and final funding must therefore be tracked as separate stages. The broader Type A/Type B comparison explains how to choose a recipient; this article explains how to finish the required file once the correct recipient is known.
The university file and funding file have different jobs
The university reviews academic admission and programme fit, while the funding recipient assesses the scholarship application through its own procedure. In some routes the university handles both stages; in others it requires separate submissions. Treat this as a workflow question, not as a reason to assume that any university form automatically becomes a CSC application.
Pre-admission supports the next stage
Pre-admission may supply evidence needed for scholarship review, but it does not settle the funding decision. Check the accepted issuer and document format before using an informal invitation. The host’s current instructions define the order of application, pre-admission, nomination and final notice. Prior-year embassy or university examples help identify possible steps; they do not establish a universal 2027 workflow.
FAQ
Does a submitted university application prove that CSC received my scholarship file?
No. Where both procedures are required, each has its own submission and receipt. Check the host’s instructions and retain evidence of completing every required step.
